Top 10 contracts at Wolverhampton Wanderers and when do they expire

Wolverhampton Wanderers are currently in the 13th spot in the English Premier League table. They have won 7 matches and lost 13 this season.

Ruben Neves could turn out to be a hot prospect in the summer this season as Manchester United will be on a hunt for central midfielders if they decide against retaining loanee Marcel Sabitzer. FC Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong was on the Red Devils’ list but his latest statement will force United to look for other options and Neves could be at the top of that list as he enters the final year of his contract at Wolves.

Adama Traore will also be out of contract at the end of this season and there have been no talks with the club regarding an extension. Despite there being no agreement on the table, the 27-year-old is committed to the football club. Manager Julen Lopetegui is happy with the winger’s performance and may renew his contract once the season ends. Even though Lopetegui has openly admitted his desire to retain the player, Traore has been used as an impact substitute and has been on the bench for most of the season. His future at the club seems hazy.

Nelson Semedo was signed back in 2020 for a deal of £27.5million. Wolves were looking at signing a new right-back after Jonny Castro and Semedo struggled in the first half of the season. However, the club has chosen not to go ahead with their initial plan as Semedo has improved under the new head coach. The club is yet to take a decision on his contract extension.
