Peshawar Zalmi led by Babar Azam are still alive in the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League after they got the better of Islamabad United by 12 runs at Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore.

Both teams had their fair share of chances in the high-voltage clash. However, Babar Azam and Co had the last laugh in the battle. During the passage of the play, an interesting incident happened which took the cricket fraternity by surprise.

Islamabad United bowler Shadab Khan perfectly predicted that Babar Azam will get dismissed in the over. He was caught on the stump mic saying, “Babar out hai” and it created a lot of expectations as well.

The unusual incident happened during the 13th over of Peshawar Zalmi’s innings when Babar Azam was batting on 63 at that time. The skipper was looking so confident to get another century.

Meanwhile, Shadab Khan came near the stump mic and said “Babar out hai”. Incidentally, Shadab Khan went on to get rid of Babar Azam in the fifth ball of the same over.

Babar Azam tried to nudge the ball off Shadab Khan’s bowling but ended up getting hit on his pads as he was trapped for a leg before wicket. The video clip of the same has gone viral on the internet, with the majority of the fans calling it a match-fixing since Shadab Khan predicted Babar’s dismissal.

Talking about the game, Peshawar Zalmi scored 183/8 in their designated quota of 20 overs. Babar Azam top-scored with 64 off 39 balls with the help of 10 boundaries.

In response, Islamabad United could muster 171/6 in 20 overs, which wasn’t enough for them to get past the finishing line. Alex Hales and Sohaib Maqsood scored a half-century apiece for Islamabad United but they ended up on the losing side.
