Real Madrid Transfer News: This summer, La Liga winners Real Madrid are allegedly considering acquiring PSV Eindhoven forward Xavi Simons, a 19-year-old Dutch sensation
Real Madrid Transfer News: Real Madrid is reportedly interested in signing Xavi Simons, according to a report from Spanish publication Fichajes. This season’s La Liga winners are debating whether or not to make a move for the Netherlands sensation during the next summer transfer window. Nonetheless, he is expected to continue playing for PSV Eindhoven in the next 2023/24 season.
Xavi Simons joined Barcelona from CD Thader Rojales when he was young and stayed with them for most of his formative years. Although starting his professional career at Spotify Camp Nou, he was stolen away by Paris Saint-Germain in 2019. Furthermore, the 19-year-old made some respectable development at the French club.
Yet, Simons departed PSG last summer for PSV Eindhoven because he was getting so few playing opportunities. Since then, the Holland sensation has continued to shine, scoring 16 goals and dishing out eight assists in 38 total games. Real Madrid is said to be interested in the teenager because of his development.
Will the Los Blancos get him?
During the next summer transfer window, Real Madrid is expected to make significant changes to their roster. The Merengues need to test the water after slipping well behind Barcelona. Also, they’ll probably strengthen several spots in order to recover their La Liga title-winning status for the next season.
Xavi Simons is enticing to Carlo Ancelotti because of his team’s need for a dynamic player. The young Dutch star may perhaps take over for Luka Modric as the team’s starting offensive midfielder. He can also play on the wings like a certain Federico Valverde.
The prodigy’s 16 goals make him an attractive choice. he has also improved his game in other ways. But, Real Madrid will have to compete with a few Premier League teams for the services of the 19-year-old. Simons has also said, very lately, that he has no plans to leave PSV Eindhoven.
Thus, it will be difficult for Real Madrid and the other suitors to sign the 16-goal Netherlands phenom this summer. Yet, when Los Blancos comes knocking, it’s not easy to say no. It remains to be seen whether the current La Liga winners can change Simons’ mind in the coming months.
