“Perfect, can get 2 overs out of him in the Powerplay and then use McCoy as a super sub in the death overs” – Twitter reacts as Sandeep Sharma replaces Prasidh Krishna in Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2023

Rajasthan Royals performed considerably well in the IPL 2022 season. Under the captaincy of Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals qualified for the playoffs by finishing second on the points table. Besides that, they knocked Royal Challengers Bangalore out of the competition in the second qualifier.

As a result, they booked their berth in the final only for the second time in their history. However, they lost to Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans in the intriguing climax as GT beat RR by seven wickets to win their maiden title in the debut season.

Rajasthan Royals will kick-start their IPL 2023 campaign on April 2 as they will lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. It will be quite interesting to see which team will win the match.

Sandeep Sharma replaces Prasidh Krishna in Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2023

Meanwhile, in the latest update from the RR team management, Sandeep Sharma has replaced Prasidh Krishna in Rajasthan Royals for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. Earlier, during the IPL 2023 mini-auction, Sandeep Sharma went unsold.

The proven product who has impeccable statistics under his belt failed to attract the bidders at the mini-auction held in Kochi and the cricket fraternity was taken aback after he went unsold at the auction.

Meanwhile, Prasidh Krishna, the bowling mainstay for the Royals has been ruled out of the entire edition of the IPL owing to a lower-back injury. Prasidh Krishna’s absence turns out to be a lucky break for Sandeep Sharma who will be looking forward to making an impact.

Rajasthan Royals picked up Sandeep Sharma for his base price of INR 50 lakh. He has a plethora of experience playing in the cash-rich IPL wherein he played as many as 104 matches, taking 114 wickets to his name at an impressive economy of 7.77. He registered his personal best bowling figures of 4/20.
