Veteran wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik has been part of the IPL since the inaugural edition of the tournament. Ever since 2008, he has played as many as 237 games in the history of the Indian Premier League.

Overall, he has scored 4459 runs at a decent batting average of 26.2 where he struck as many as 20 half-centuries to his credit. On top of that, he has maintained a staggering batting strike rate of 132.6.

While he was playing for Kolkata Knight Riders, he registered his individual-best score of an unbeaten 97 against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2019. Meanwhile, during a recent interview with JioCinema, he picked the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) of the Indian Premier League.

Dinesh Karthik rates MS Dhoni as the GOAT of the IPL

Experienced wicketkeeper-batsman, Dinesh Karthik who been playing IPL since 2008 has rated MS Dhoni as the GOAT of the Indian Premier League. MS Dhoni changed the entire complexion of Chennai Super Kings’ franchise.

It was under his captaincy, CSK have managed to win as many as four IPL titles since the inaugural edition of the tournament. Apart from being a top-notch captain, MS Dhoni also delivered the goods as a wicketkeeper-batsman.

MS Dhoni who has been playing IPL since 2008 has featured in a total of 241 games at a stellar batting average of 39.4 at a strike rate of 135.7. Notably, he has slammed as many as 24 half-centuries in the tournament.

On the other hand, he has taken as many as 141 catches behind the stumps in IPL. Besides that, he has affected 22 run outs and 40 stumpings in the tournament, which is indeed worth applauding. Currently, CSK have been performing on a different level altogether.

Apart from defeats against Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals, they have won the remaining five games in the sixteenth edition of the IPL. They will take on Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals in tonight’s clash at RR’s den.
