“Chinnaswamy wonder” – Twitter reacts after Glenn Maxwell gets dismissed for 4 off 5 against LSG in IPL 2023

Lucknow Super Giants are locking horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 43rd match of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. The game is currently being held at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Talking about the game, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to open the face of the blade first. The RCB’s opening pair namely Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis found it literally tough to essay runs on the board.

However, they somehow managed to nudge the ball smartly, scored boundaries and performed well in fragments. As it turned out, RCB posted their lowest-ever powerplay score of 42/0 in six overs, which is pretty decent considering the tough wicket.

Meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell hasn’t been performing to his fullest in the last few games of the IPL. The Australian all-rounder had a miserable day at the office once again as he was dismissed for just four runs off five deliveries against Lucknow Super Giants.

The right-handed batsman tried to be innovative as he attempted to play the switch hit off Ravi Bishnoi’s delivery in the fourth ball of the 13th over of RCB’s innings. As it turned out, Maxwell ended up missing the ball completely.

Meanwhile, the LSG players including the bowler Ravi Bishnoi appealed in unison and the on-field raised his finger. Maxwell took the DRS and upon reviewing the dismissal, it was learnt that the ball was just touching the top of the stumps. Maxwell had to depart because it was umpire’s call.
