A fast bowler is destined to achieve great things if he sticks to his line and length during the game. It is also absolutely vital to keep the confidence and momentum going despite getting hit for boundaries or sixes.

The real strength of a fast bowler is to convert a setback into a comeback when you are playing in the shortest format of the game. It is quite obvious that the batters will swing the blade with brute force to target fours or sixes.

However, in a rarest occurrence, a fast bowler kept the entire team silent with subtle bowling variations. Mohammed Shami was the wrecker-in-chief as he dismantled Delhi Capitals’ batting line-up with exceptional deliveries.

He kept bowling wicket-taking deliveries and reaped rewards during the game. In the process, he chipped in with impressive bowling figures of 4/11 in his full quota of four overs. He maintained a superb economy rate of 2.80, which is really worth applauding.

During the course of the game, Shami got rid of Phil Salt, Priyam Garg, Rilee Rossouw and Manish Pandey to account for four dismissals. Shami drew plaudits for his exceptional bowling performance against Delhi Capitals.

During the mid-game presentation, Mohammed Shami was asked whether he wanted to bowl a few more overs tonight the way he was going about his business. To which, Shami gave a hilarious reply by saying, “not at all, my all petrol was finished”.
