“So LSG decided to lift trophy this year” – Twitter reacts as KL Rahul is unlikely to be part of the remainder of IPL 2023

Lucknow Super Giants were newly-inducted into India’s premier T20 competition in the IPL 2022 season. Under the captaincy of KL Rahul, Lucknow Super Giants qualified for the playoffs. Rightly so, they went on to finish third on the league stage points table.

KL Rahul and Co came through with flying colours nine times and lost five games. They collected 18 points and made it to the playoffs but were eliminated by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator.

Talking about their performance this season, they have played pretty well as a team and got the right results as well. Currently, they are third on the points table with five wins and four defeats in the league stage.

KL Rahul is unlikely to be part of the remainder of IPL 2023

Meanwhile, in the latest development, it has been learnt that KL Rahul is unlikely to be a part of the remainder of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The Lucknow Super Giants captain sustained an untimely injury on the field against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

KL Rahul picked up the injury while he was chasing the ball to stop a possible boundary before pulling up in the follow-through. As it turned out, he was in immense pain and was taken off the field

KL Rahul didn’t take the field after sustaining the injury in just the second over of the game. However, he displayed a great tale of bravery by walking out to bat after LSG lost 9 wickets. He faced three deliveries and didn’t score a run where LSG ended up losing the game.

In KL Rahul’s absence, all-rounder Krunal Pandya led the team from the front against RCB at Ekana Cricket Stadium. LSG lost the game by 18 runs at home. Meanwhile, KL Rahul is not part of the clash against CSK as Krunal Pandya is leading the team.

As per the reports, LSG captain is still in pain and has swelling. He is currently being monitored by the NCA and BCCI medical team. Post the scan results, we will come to know the extent of his injury. As per report by PTI, KL Rahul is unlikely to be a part of the rest of IPL 2023.
