“100% Domination by GT” – Twitter reacts as Gujarat Titans beat Rajasthan Royals by 9 wickets

Good times are rolling on for Gujarat Titans this season and whatever they touch is turning to Gold. The defending champions were absolutely gutted to have lost the first leg against Rajasthan Royals at their den.

However, they made a stellar comeback in the second leg by beating Rajasthan Royals by nine wickets, in what was an utter domination by the visitors. Hardik Pandya and Co ticked all the boxes and fired all the cylinders during the passage of play.

Batting first, Rajasthan Royals totally lost the plot and made a complete mess with regards to the batting department. They were unable to capitalize on the starts and besides that, they lacked stability.

As a result, they ended up losing regular wickets in the middle and didn’t really recover from the setback. In the end, Rajasthan Royals were bowled out for 118 runs in 17.5 overs. RR captain Sanju Samson top-scored with 30 runs off 20 balls including 3 fours and 1 six.

Rashid Khan shines for Gujarat Titans against Rajasthan Royals

Afghanistan international Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers for the defending champions. He stuck to his subtle bowling variations of good line and length and then reaped rewards when it mattered the most.

Rashid Khan accounted for three dismissals and weaved the magic with the ball. He also conceded only 14 runs and had an economy rate of 3.50. On the other hand, Noor Ahmad took 2 wickets to his name.

In response, Gujarat Titans chased down the target in 13.5 overs and won the game by 9 wickets. Wriddhiman Saha top-scored with 41 off 35 balls whereas captain Hardik Pandya scored 39 off 15 balls including 3 fours and 3 sixes.
