The Ahmedabad-based franchise became the first team to qualify for IPL 2023 playoffs. They managed to do it after their stellar win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. Hardik Pandya and Co got the better of Sunrisers Hyderabad by 34 runs at home.

Batting first, GT posted 188/9 in their quota of 20 overs with the help of Shubman Gill’s maiden century. On the other hand, Bhuvneshwar Kumar registered 5/30 in four overs. In reply, SRH could end up at 154/9 in 20 overs and lost the game by 34 runs.
