“Guy understood about dual role importance to get place in team” – Twitter reacts after Sarfaraz Khan is doing wicketkeeping practice ahead of IPL 2023

Sarfaraz Khan is one of the most underrated players in India. Despite the fact that he has been able to bring the best out of himself as a player in domestic cricket, he still hasn’t made his debut for Team India.

Earlier, he was told by the selectors that he would get an opportunity to play for the country. However, the 26-year-old is still waiting for the chance to show his worth in international cricket.

He has been one of the most consistent performers for the Mumbai cricket team in the Ranji Trophy. The aggressive right-handed batsman boasts a healthy record as far as first-class cricket is concerned.

The bright young prospect scored 3505 runs at a scintillating average of 79.65. It is worth mentioning that he has scored as many as 13 centuries and 9 half-centuries to his name. He has smacked a total of 393 fours and 66 sixes in first-class cricket. On the other hand, he scored 469 runs in List A cricket including 2 centuries.

Sarfaraz Khan hogged the limelight after he was spotted practising wicketkeeping ahead of the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. He will be next seen in action for the IPL 2023, which is just around the corner.

The IPL carnival will go all guns blazing from March 31 onwards. Sarfaraz Khan will play for Delhi Capitals next season. He was roped in by the franchise for his base price of INR 20 lakh at the IPL 2022 mega-auction in Bengaluru.

With the regular captain, Rishabh Pant ruled out of the entire tournament due to an unfortunate accident last year in December. As per the reports, Sarfaraz Khan is expected to don the wicket-keeping gloves for the next season.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals failed to make the cut for the IPL 2022 playoffs. They won seven games and lost the rest of the seven games, collecting 14 points from the competition. Delhi Capitals will begin their IPL 2023 campaign on April 1 at Ekana Sports City.
