Punjab Kings’ cricketer Liam Livingstone is turning out to be a productive asset to the Mohali-based franchise ever since he signed for the franchise. He has been delivering the goods ever so well as an all-rounder.

Even in the ongoing game against Delhi Capitals, he scored a brilliant half-century. Talking about the game, Punjab Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first. Batting first, Delhi Capitals posted 213/2 in their quota of 20 overs.

Rilee Russouw was the pick of the batters for the Delhi-based franchise. He scored an unbeaten 82 off 37 balls including 6 fours and 6 sixes to his name. Prithvi Shaw scored 54 off 38 balls including seven fours and a six.

In response, Punjab Kings lost their captain Shikhar Dhawan for a golden duck. Although the top and the middle batters managed to score runs, they played a bit slow. Atharva Taide scored 55 off 42 balls before he retired hurt (5 fours and 2 sixes).

Apart from that, Liam Livingstone switched gears and scored runs at a rate of knots. In the process, he scored a brilliant fifty off 30 balls before he accelerated his innings with his fearless batting approach.

He had a chance to single-handedly guide the team to victory but that wasn’t meant to be as DC bowlers pitched the balls pretty well. Liam Livingstone scored 94 off 48 balls where he hammered 5 fours and 9 sixes.
