Suryakumar Yadav was sensational against the Gujarat Titans last night. The right-handed batter kept Mumbai’s chances alive with a brilliant, undefeated inning. The franchise’s IPL 2023 season has been rocky so far, but Sky has raised expectations that MI will finally break through.

Suryakumar Yadav scored 103 runs off 49 balls, bringing Mumbai’s total to 218 for the loss of five wickets. GT attempted to respond, but MI was a formidable opponent in their own stadium. The Mumbai Indians are now in fourth place and have qualified for the playoffs of the Indian Premier League 2023, while the Gujarat Titans have risen to first place.

One Twitter user commented that if he tries that shot in the bigger boundaries of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, then it will be a catch at the 30-yard circle. Another Twitter user responded with a video of Suryakumar Yadav batting against Zimbabwe at the MCG in the 2022 T20 World Cup. He played one of his favourite shots and that is sweeping the fast bowler for six right from the off stump.
