The 23-year-old all-rounder etched his name into the record books after he became the highest-paid player ever in the history of Mumbai Indians, surpassing Ishan Kishan. For the record, Mumbai Indians retained Ishan Kishan for INR 15.25 crore at the IPL 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru, making him the most expensive player in the last year’s auction.

However, in this auction, Cameron Green went on to become the highest-paid cricketer in Mumbai Indians’ history. MI team management were mighty pleased after they roped in the Australian at the auction.

Cameron Green has played 8 T20Is, 17 Tests and 13 One Day Internationals for the national cricket team. He scored 139 runs in the truncated version of the game at a staggering strike rate of 173.8 including two fifties.

On the other side of the coin, he has bagged as many as five wickets, registering his personal best bowling figures of 2/16, at an economy of 8.60. He would be looking forward to giving it all for the most successful franchise in the IPL next season.

Mumbai Indians hit the rock bottom of the last season’s points table, winning only four games out of the 14 games.
