"How are they doing it with nothing going on" - Fans react as Team India retain their No.1 T20I ranking

Team India have plenty of top players in their arsenal. This is precisely the reason why they are one of the best teams in the world. With the help of these resources, they have always been performing at their maximum potential.

However, it’s really been a long time since they won an ICC title. The last time they won the ICC title was back in 2013 when the Men in Blue won the Champions Trophy under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.

Since then, India are yet to end their ICC title drought. Case in point, India have always been a side that has performed well across all three formats of the game. Recently, India dethroned Australia to become the No.1 Test team in the latest ICC Test rankings.

Team India now hold the numero uno spot in the ICC Test rankings ahead of the ICC World Test Championship Final against Australia, slated to be held at The Oval in London from June 7 to June 11, with June 12 set as the reserve day.

Team India retain their No.1 T20I ranking

Meanwhile, in the latest development, Team India have retained their No.1 T20I ranking, as announced by the International Cricket Council. Team India have been playing a different brand of cricket altogether under Hardik Pandya’s captaincy.

Hardik Pandya has been leading the pack from the front in the shortest format of the game. At the moment, the BCCI wants Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli to focus playing the ODI and the Test format, considering the ICC WTC Final and ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in mind.

Being the No.1 T20I team is indeed a great achievement for Hardik Pandya and Co. It literally means that they have consistently performed well and has managed to win more games than any other team over a spell. The ICC T20 World Cup is slated to be held next year and it is important for the players to stick to the winning template.
