“OMG, on Babar’s B’day” – Twitter reacts as India will lock horns with Pakistan on October 15 as Pakistan agrees to tour India for ICC WC 2023

Pakistan and India have locked horns with each other only in the ICC and ACC events. Both teams haven’t played a bilateral series since 2012 owing to the political tensions between both nations.

Pakistan cricket team has historically visited India to play cricket, although there have been instances when political tensions between the two nations have adversely affected bilateral cricketing relations.

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) expressed that they are not willing to travel to India for World Cup 2023 if BCCI doesn’t send its players Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023 which is slated to be held in September.

However, BCCI made it stance clear that they are not willing to send the players to Pakistan for Asia Cup tournament and instead, the board wants to ensure that the event is held at a neutral venue. Even SLC and BCB backed BCCI’s decision to shift the Asia Cup tournament out of Pakistan.

Pakistan agrees to tour India for ICC WC 2023

Meanwhile, as per the reports, Pakistan have now come to terms as they have agreed to tour India for the upcoming edition of the World Cup 2023 tournament. Pakistan are well aware of the fact that if they skip the ODI World Cup in India, they will incur massive losses.

As reported by Cricbuzz, Pakistan have agreed to tour India to participate in the marquee event. The report added that India will lock horns with Pakistan in the blockbuster clash on October 15.

The inaugural fixture of the World Cup will be played between England and New Zealand on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. On the other hand, the intriguing final is scheduled to be played at the same venue on November 19.

The report further added that Team India will lock horns with the Australian cricket team in their opening fixture as Chennai will be hosting the highly anticipated clash.
