“Legend in the making” – Twitter erupts after Shubman Gill scores a maiden IPL century

Shubman Gill has been making waves with the bat in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The talented prospect has literally dictated the terms and dominated the proceedings with the bat this season.

Gujarat Titans largely benefitted from the batsman’s services. Operating as an opener for the Ahmedabad-based franchise, he has been absolutely making sure that he makes his presence count on the pitch with his attacking batting approach.

The way he has been carrying out his innings this season is a huge boost not just to Gujarat Titans but also for Indian cricket as well. Shubman Gill is currently playing against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 62nd match of IPL 2023.

Shubman Gill scores a maiden IPL century

Shubman Gill let his bat do the talking in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He braved the odds and went on to score his maiden IPL century off just 56 balls. He ended up scoring 101 off 58 balls with the help of 13 boundaries and a six.

Moreover, he maintained a strike rate of 174.14. His exceptional batting helped Gujarat Titans to score 188/9 in their designated quota of 20 overs. Apart from Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan played pretty well as he scored 47 off 36 balls (6 fours and a six).

If Shubman Gill can maintain this form, it is indeed a massive boost to Gujarat Titans’ chances going forward in the latter stages of the tournament. Shubman Gill has scored 576 runs in 13 games at an average of 48 including 62 fours and 14 sixes.
